Hey this is Jess! I know I haven’t posted in a WHILE because I have been so busy. But this blog is really important to me and Steph so are going to try and post as often as we can! Thank you for sticking around.
So I want to start this new thing there I list a few flight deals each week. I wish I could be taking advantage of these amazing prices right now, however due to being in school, working, and doing my internship I have no extra time or money. Since I find so many good deals that I can’t use, I want to share them with the readers!
My flight search process: I always start with SkyScanner.com. This website has so many customizable options to help you find the lowest fares. You pick your departure airport (ex: NYC) and then pick Everywhere as your destination. And instead of picking specific travel dates, you can select Whole Month or Cheapest Month. Once I find a deal, I will compare the price with the airline’s website price and I adjust the dates a bit to see if I can get the cheapest price possible.
Note: I’ll be sharing flight deals that are generally from the east coast since that is where I live. If you would like to get flight deals from other parts of the US, feel free to ask!
The Three Magic Rules of Cheap Travel:
Be flexible with your dates
Travel during the off season
Compare, compare compare!
For my first Weekly Flight Deals, I’ll be sharing flights to what I call the Big Three: London, Paris, and Rome. When I ask people their dream destinations, these three places are generally high on the list… I know they are high on mine!

All prices include taxes and fees! Now, I understand that not everyone wants to travel in the chilly winter months. If you would like to travel in warmer months, you can switch up the airport that you fly in to and then take a local European airline to you desired destination. Bus and train also work well too! I will post more about those types of trips in the future.
See you next week!

I love the idea of being able to customize “cheapest month” with sky scanner. That is so helpful for those who just know they want to take a vacation but don’t know when! http://www.ourfoodieappetite.com/east-beach-farmers-market-norfolk-va/
